Temperatures

Just wondering what you guys see in the gauge when towing?

I pulled up Black Mtn in NC the other day. Outside temp was hovering around 92. Engine got to 215. Oil peaked around 220. I held speed around 60 and left all other tow rigs behind. Are you seeing similar temps?

Those temps sound about right. We have a lot of steep grades around my region and my rig runs in that range when pulling up them. temps come down quickly after cresting. My truck Pulls like a freight train with no complaints other than the slight increase in temps.

Sounds right.

Which gear were you pulling in? Sounds like 4th ?

i pull anything 5% or less in 5th. 6% or more 4th at 55 to 60. Gonna buy a Edge Insite so I can watch the EGT’s.
