sporadic lurching problem

Hi gents; I have had a random problem surface roughly 3 or 4 times in the last few months that I am thinking is related to the torque converter. Here are my symptoms.
First thing in the morning when the truck has sat overnight (but the engine has been warmed via remote start), when I put my foot on the brake and put the truck in reverse it does a slight lurch and it wants to go more than normal; the engine idle does not change but if you bite down on the brakes the wheels still try to turn and then the truck quickly stalls; once it does I restart it and it is fine for several days.
If when it lurches and wants to go back quicker than normal you dont fight it and let it go everything is normal after that initial couple of seconds and I put the truck into drive after backing up, drive off and the truck will be fine for several days. Again if you fight it and bear down on the brakes, the truck stalls; restart and its fine.
And also to repeat, it only has done this the odd time first thing in the morning when it has sat overnight; after that it runs perfect for the rest of the day, and usually for several days.

I am sure it has nothing to do with the mechanical transmission as there is absolutely no clunk or anything; the truck is hooking up at idle more than it should randomly for a couple of seconds when first shifted into gear.
I should also note I am running a smarty jr EGR/DPF delete on it, and have for 5 years or so with no issues. It was suggested to me it could be a programming issue but I am unsure.
Can anyone make any suggestions on what this could be so that I can narrow it down and fix it?

It is very random and I'm sure will be hard to confirm that I have fixed it but I do not want it to get worse; if someone unfamiliar with the truck was in it and it did this it would give them a scare, then they would bear down hard on the brakes which would stall it; as mentioned it would be fine after that once they restart it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It may help if you supplied the details of your truck, ie year, model, transmission etc

Sorry Mexstan; you are correct.
My truck is a 2010 Cummins mega cab with the automatic 6 speed transmission; I have 336,000 km on it and it has been the perfect other than replacing wear and tear items.

I would change the oil with a good quality oil and both filters in the transmission. Clean out the pan and look for any flecks of metal, this would tell a lot if there are problems inside.

I did a full tranny service about a year ago which included changing both filters; the fluid was good and there was zero debris in the pan.
