24-Valve Cummins sporadic hesitation
1999 Dodge 2500 Ram Diesel
236,000 miles
6-speed manual transmission (swapped out the auto for this, however, I still have the auto PCM in the truck)
I have no engine codes other than transmission codes from the swap (over 1 year ago).
Lift pump pressure is a little low, sometimes goes below 10 psi (maybe 8psi).
I am getting some hesitation while accelerating every once in a while, it seems to happen from 1%-50% throttle. If I punch it to full throttle when it is acting up it usually pull out of it.
I replaced the APPS a couple of years ago (but it is still the auto transmission type).
Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this problem?
Could it be the lift pump?
I have a feeling that it might be the injection pump, but it isn't throwing any codes...
Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue and it seemed worse in the colder weather, i replaced my Apps with a Timbo Apps and it solved my problem. Mine too never showed a code.

Ditto. The APPS problem seldom shows codes till it's too late.
Get the Timbo Unit. Had mine for 55,000 miles w/ no problems.
