I've heard there's a way for the dealer to tell what kind of power has been added to the truck, anyone know if this is true or not? Wonder if I can get ahold of MADS, have them load just stock software on the Smarty Jr and go show the dealer I'm not adding power, just want to clean up the emissions stuff and make the truck run better? I'll talk to them, and I'll post on here sat what they say. I've heard of a few dealers working with people, we'll see. would be so nice to lose about 300 pounds of crap on the truck lol. And say goodbye to the urea.

So how does that work, would a stock setting on the Smarty still allow me to delete everything? If so, would a dealer still be able to detect the stock setting?

Not going to happen, remember you are dealing with Federal Mandated law requiring the smog stuff you are trying to get rid of.... The only way you can get rid of it is to dump your warranty and do a delete as any Dealer with the right equipment can tell that things have been changed.

Think of your ECM as one of those "Black Boxes" on an Aircraft that records all the working parameters prior to a crash. Your ECM does the same thing and since 09 No box or programmer has been undetectable.

Your choice is simple, drive with a warranty, or not.....

Hi mike, do you know why this was not covered under warranty? Are there some exception that make these dpf not covered? That would make their 100k warranty useless.
