No Programer?

www.xtremediesel.com/dpfdeleteshop-dodge67lcummins.aspx

So with this it means we could just put exhaust on only, without a programmer?

Because thats really all I would want. I would end up tearing up the truck with a chip. I know myself too good!!!

might be my computer here at the shop but link no workie.

most damaging thing is the EGR. shutting it off is #1 due to all the garbage coming into the motor. I am going to take my intake horn off tomorrow night (if we can swing my deletes tomorrow at the same time) and will take pics of the intake tract to show the amout of soot on a truck with less than 15k miles on it and over 1/2 of those has been smarty JR with "S" software that shuts EGR off. you will be amazed and sick at the same time

No you misread,

In the link it says,

What do I need?

Step 1: EXHAUST - Select a Complete DPF Delete Exhaust System or DPF Delete Race Pipe

Step 2: ELECTRONICS - You must select an electronic performance unit for the exhaust to work properly with your vehicle.
You still need a programmer.

Yes you need the programmer trust me you want to get one it will make your truck brand new again and get rid of the EGR ASAP. I just had an oil report done with eveything removed and the oil was amazing and still had alot of life left with Valvoline Premium Blue. Tested at 4500 miles and said I could go 7500 miles easy. Get the programmer remove everything your truck will be happy and you will too.

I'll second the no egr. 3000 miles of towing and the oils still cleaner than right after an oil change with the egr and dpf hooked up. 18 months of no mandatory drives on the highway for 45 minutes to clean out the system instead of making cash for me, not CEL's and 40% increase in fuel economy running empty (except when towing, only about 1 mpg change there).

Since the deletes, every time I start the 6.7, I think I hear it quietly thank me for letting it breath. The is such a happy motor now!!!

you could try running the resistors for the egt probes. You'll still get codes. Remove the differental pressure sensor.

I'm gonna try the resistors cause I don't want to void the warranty. What is the differential pressure sensor? I have a 2011 cab and chassis.

What would be good but cheap to clear the codes? I haven't gotten anything yet, might say screw it and just do the full delete with Smarty.

Now your catching on.

Any code scanner from autozone will do. Or if you want to monitor things an Edge Insight is a nice setup.

OK, so if I do a full delete, would an insight, or bulldog onto or something that doesn't give me more power be able to make the truck run normal and no codes? Or does it have to be a programmer and add power? I'm gonna visit the dealer on sat and go into detail on what I might be able to do. Gonna unplug the egr today and see how it runs, I got a 650 mile trip tmrw.

Smarty Jr or H&S XRT Pro, delete but use the stock power level programming.

Let us know what the dealership has to say. I think I know, but they might surprise us. Good luck.

I had a friend 2008 3500 go in for warranty work. 30000miles on the truck, the DPF/turbo was plugged up. It took $1400 to do the dpf/turbo unplug for warranty work, not covered under warranty. I have 50000miles on mine, and it never been back for "warranty" yet.
