I have a 2010 6.7 with 8700 miles. Today I floored it at about 30mph to go around a truck. It kicked down like normal and started to go. Then it felt like and acted like i had turned the key off. No power, the red lighting bolt light came on(the one to the left of the glow plug light) I kept it to the floor trying to get it to go and it took about 5-10 seconds for it stop and start going again. Light went off but it didnt have hardly any power for about another 30 seconds or so then it felt as if it was back to normal. Has anyone experienced anything like this??? Even though there are no lights on now would that have stored a code??

 

Go and get the codes scanned. I had mine reflashed the other day. Mine did the crank crank thingy before starting. I was told that the reflash would fix that issue. I had a crank sensor code come in. Time will tell, I haven't drove the truck much since then.
