DPF 80% Full
Got the message DPF 80% Full - Regeneration need now while driving around the wildlife refuge where we are volunteering today. Took it out on the highway - ran it in 4th gear at 60mph until Regeneration Complete message appeared. Turned around and drove back the same way (4th gear @ 60mph). Turning about 2600 rpm. Last % message was 70%. It still appeared to be dumping the extra fuel on the exhaust stroke, even after it said the regen was completed as the fuel mileage indicator Bar was below the average shown. Do I need to get this thing out and run it hard for a longer period of time?
Also, when comparing cost of DPF replacement vs cost to delete, looks like it would cost about the same - true? I'd have to find a good diesel shop to do it as I'm not very mechanically inclined.
And, is RaceMe the only currently available delete capable tuner?
Thanks,
Bob

You could get 100% custom tunes from a another source and use Smarty Touch or MM3.
That 80% full could lead to a mucho expensive ex system "tune UP".
On my 09 the smarty 67 had deletes available and the tunes are floating around. They are labeled ME

Looks like Rollin' Smoke Diesel has the MM3 with Anarchy tunes, as well as the turbo-back exhaust, EGR/cooler, and EGT probe delete kit for less than $1800. The Raceme kit would be about $400 more. OEM DPF filters that I can find are around $2000.
So, anyone out there with the MM3/Anarchy tunes or the RaceMe delete tuner feel free to chime in. Not looking to start a brand war - just looking for input on a good tuner.
Thanks,
Bob
