Diesel truck maintenance ?

Just wanted to get an idea of what kind of stuff I should be doing regularly or once and awhile to keep my 2011 2500 healthy.

I'm just not sure on things like fuel adds and such. This is my first diesel and it way different than say my class 10 Baja buggy.

Thanks guys

That question has sooooooo many answers and depends on what kind of driving you do, (stop go around town, or hiway towing or not), how often you do it and in what climate. The biggest factor being IF you have deleted or not. General opinion is it doesn't need additives just clean fuel.

It completely stock. I'm at 6000feet or more...and i drive like any normal with a truck, chill most of the time, but you get that guy/girl sleeping in the car while driving and you gotta take care of business.

Just follow the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual. Oil changes about every 5-7k (depending on when the EVIC says it needs to be changed), differentials, trans and transfercase every 30k or so, fuel filters yearly and air filters as needed. Drain the water out of the fuel filter cavity every couple of months (every couple of weeks in the winter). Run anti-gel when it's around zero or below (Power Service in the white bottle works good), same for plugging in the block heater.

Do all that and she'll treat you good.

I would just take the truck to the dealer. You should be in good shape just doing that. I do my own maintaince and my truck is deleted.
-10000-12000km oil 5-40 high quality oil/fleet guard oil filter
-I've rotate my tires often
-50000km's front/rear diffs
-40000km's tcase/trans
-stock factory fuel filter every other oil change
-my cat filter every 50000km's
-replace shocks 50000km's
-tires 50000km's (I drive lots of gravel/pull trailers)
-inspect front end for looseness and broken parts
-inspect front/rear brake and tires often (I break stuff)
-A front windshield (gravel roads)
-100000km's coolant flush and purge
