check engine light - start fault?

This may be a bit long winded so please bear with me.

2015 RAM, Sunday morning I go to start the truck and the starter made about one revolution and stopped. I thought that was odd, but turned the key off and tried again and this time it started as normal. Now Monday morning I go to leave for work and notice as I'm driving the check engine light is on. I called the dealer when I got home and made an appointment for Thursday morning. While dropping the truck off the lady used her tablet on the OBDII port and said the truck had a powertrain software upgraded that was needed. Tech scanned the truck and performed the software upgrade, no other codes shown.

I checked the vehicle information center display and all the engine temps & oil pressure were fine, no messages shown either. Truck drive the same as always, so I had no signs that performance wise there was anything wrong.

Service lady said that apparently some of these trucks had an issue which I think she said was some sort of start fault requiring the ECM reflash.

My service ticket says "C 18 Flash Software 1 Software Flash for PCM".

Just below it is also says "Cause: F"

Just curious if anyone else had run into this situation?

Nobody?

I guess I must be the only one with this issue then.

I've seen a few issues but most times a flash will correct the programming errors in the PCM. I have been seeing new flashes coming out almost monthly now. Using the tablet makes updating vehicles so mush faster and easier, glad they came out with witech2. Make sure you check battery connections that they are tight, have been seeing loose battery connections on new trucks that haven't been caught during the PDI.
