Breaking in a 2500?
Picking up a 16 2500 laramie manual on Saturday. Break in for engine I've read is 55 for 50 miles. After that does the transmission of diff need anything different? What do you guys recommend?
Mind you we have a 530 mile trip home from the dealer and our freeways are 80mph

Not 100% sure it's for the engine, but I had the same warning for my '08 when I bought it new and it was just for the differential. They want you to break it in before you start pulling with it and the 500 miles is just to gear some wear on the gears.
Grab the owner's manual to confirm it, and if it's true you might want to find some back roads to get it home.

Am loving this truck. Got 18.5 mpg hand calculated at 60-80mph. This thing is a whole new level of amazing compared to the 13 3500 tradesman I traded in. It feels a lot faster, it's smoother and the upgrades are just amazing. Am really happy about the purchase.
