Bad shake at idle

I have a 2011 ram 3500 4x4 6.7. I started it up this morning and it has a violent shake at idle. Dosent matter if it is in park, drive, neutral or reverse it still shakes. If I give it a little throttle it smoothes out. There's no engine miss and idle doesn't fluctuate. Drives fine down the road. Any suggestions.

Might be doing a regen. There will be a little extra shake when that happens

It's more than a little shake. It rattles my windows and mirrors. It also rattles my center console. I can feel in the seat steering wheel and floor boads. I also drove it about 70 miles and no difference other than when I stop at a stop sign or light it shakes more or less than other times but doesn't go away.

Maybe harmonic balancer loose?

Maybe an injector issue?

No codes?
All my CTD’s have had 3 idles.
1- like a gasser, super smooth.
2-like a Diesel, can see water in a water bottle jiggle around and feel it.
3- like something isn’t right, but not necessarily that somethings wrong.

depends on the day.

hard to say without sitting in the truck, hearing it, feeling it. Sorry but hard to help in this situation. No change of rpm is a good sign.

whats a violent shake I think is the biggest question?!

It's more like a vibration. I changed fuel filter and it still vibrates at idle 800 rpm. 1000rpm and higher it goes away. Also after changing fuel filter I drive 45 miles to work and when I got there the vibration was pretty much gone. Started 8 hrs later vibration back. Got home vibration pretty much gone. I am at a loss on this.

Long shot here.
I had a come and go vibration that was most prominent at idle to 1100 rpm roughly
turned out to be my belt tensioner pulley. There wasn’t much resistance on the belt and the actual pulley was ready to fall apart.

I’d find myself driving with the radio and fan off listening trying to find the focal point of the vibration. By fluke I had the hood open adding washer fluid, truck idling and I heard a faint squeak and noticed the belt wobbling some. Checked all my pulleys and theblast was the tensioner. It wasn’t real obvious until I tried to make it move...loose and weak.
