2013 mileage?????????????

What kind of mileage are you guys getting with your 2013 HD trucks? My 2012 sucks only 9/13 thinking of trading for a 2013 if they are doing any better.

Keep in mind these CTD engines get their better mileage after they get some miles on 'em. Mine was sucking at 14-16 mpg until it got over 70,000 on it, then it was like night and day, now a common MPG cruising is around 24.

My 2012 sucks too. 16 on its best day with a good tail wind lol... I just deleted mine too, S&B, and a Smarty. Improved very minimal at all on fuel mileage this week.

I put 200 miles on a SRW 2500 this week. It was getting a solid 18. The new navigation and I-Pod interface is awesome!

Oh yea, I've heard that whole break in deal so many times. My 06 MegaCab never got any better. Sold it with 90K.

I test drove a 2013 2500 CCSB 4x4 manual yesterday. In a ~10 mile test drive where a lot of it was running in 5th on some country type roads and the rest stop and go with lights the truck was reading 18+mpg so I would say it was getting a solid 18 given the lieometer effect. While you'd be looking at a dually...you should definitely see an improvement over a 2012.

I was very impressed with the truck, it was an identical copy of our 2012 3500 from an option standpoint and was smoother on acceleration and had a noticeable increase in power. I believe an upgrade is in the future!

Just got rid of my 2012 for a 2013 Mega cab. Love the new truck much better then the 2012. I have a 22 mile one way trip to work and very few stops and am getting 22.8 mpg.
But only 10 mpg with a 14K 5th wheel hooked up.

I'm getting 15 in horrible stop and go traffic with lots of idle time. Haven't been on a trip in it yet.

Hi Guys , please if posting MPG could you "please" also include your transmission and most importantly your gear ratio, thanks so much as I'm on the fence for a 2014 and my kid can't seem to do the math on his 2013.

22.8mpg are excellent numbers for a stock truck and I know that 3.42's were the only gears available in the beginning and now at least on the 3500 with the Aisin but for awhile there was a choice of gears and wheel size including 17 inch but not now. The real question is can the emission equipment work in the extreme cold without throwing codes and clogging up the intake, time will tell.

Auto 3.42 1000 miles. Truck said I was at 18.5 mpg. Real math says 15.6. Normal driving city and highway.

Ok finally some real numbers for the 2013 3500 Crew cab sb SRW 4X4, 3.42 Aisin, last 5000ml/8000km all highway fuel burn was 271 USgallons/1027L or 18.45mpUSg some of that is with no trailer but some with about 8000lb trailer so nothing heavy yet as it still has no goose hitch. Pretty good for a new stock truck.
