Tire options?

Anybody here played around with tire sizes yet?

The volunteer fire dept. I belong to is spec.ing out a new med. duty truck and since we're in a rural area,it will need some off road capability. The 225/70 19.5s listed stock would sink like a rock with that kind of weight on them IMO. How big can we go on the stock rims without running into spacing or clearance issues? Given the weight of the truck, (18 000 lb or so)I'd like to go to about a 265/70 19.5 but I know I won't be able to sell them on it if it's major mods or new wheels.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks! Randy.

Problem solved! We got it with 245/75-22.5s instead.

Randy.
