new 4500 dually
#31
I need one of these Super Trucks...
I have just found the 5500 CC that I will try to make a deal on tomorrow...
I would like more info on this bed installation. I've checked with several up-fitters around this area (DFW) and no one is set up for the job.
Need web site info or contact#. Ballpark price info would be helpful.
Thanks

There is a fab shop in Indiana that is making the body matching filler panels. He is using new take off beds and basically doing what your doing. If your interested in maybe getting with him I could get you his contact info (another driver I know bought one). He charging between $2500-3000 for the conversion (bed, mount, filler, paint and so on).

that is correct. And as far as the filler panel goes, we have tried to have one made that matches the truck and they are at least two months out. But the ones we make now are color matched, and have tie down rings on the top to secure your cargo. It is steel and not plastic. We have some better photos showing how they are shaped, the top is perfect, it's the side bed/body lines that are hard to duplicate within the price we are charging. So we went with the steel one with the rings for now.
Are you offering the bed conversions for sale or is that just a one-off for personal use? If for sale, would you post contact info?

the whole deal on the filler panel would be gone if you slid the bed back say 6 inches, that way the stacks would come up clean between the body and the bed with room for a nice crossover box.

We are now doing the 84"CA 4500/5500 trucks and installing a fuel tank/tool box combo between the cab and bed. Will post some photos on our website soon.
