You're right there. Even being a Chrysler employee, the info I get is just as confusing. This is the header on Chrysler's website.....

"Chrysler LLC as a matter of policy does not confirm or disclose the nature of its private business meetings. As we have said, the Company is looking at a number of potential global partnerships as it explores growth opportunities around the world. Beyond those partnerships already announced however, Chrysler has not formed any new agreements and has no further announcements to make at this time."

Hmmmmmm.

I see a brand new Sterling for sale at the local Western Star dealer.
Its $43,000 for a crew cab , cab and chasis , I thought that sounded cheap?

The dealer I bought my Bullet from is in the dark as well..she assured me that they would keep their doors open(Freightliner Dealer) do warranty work and part sales. Between this and the GM Chrysler merger it makes you wonder...

Longhorn I gave less than that for mine the Bullets are cheaper than the Dodge counterparts..

I paid ALOT more than that for my Ford.
I thought that sounded like a pretty good price , it was not a bad looking truck.

I prefer the looks of the Sterling grill over the Dodges as well so far the truck is doing fine..top load so far was +/- 45K for truck, trailer and cargo.. pic in profile

I'm done with this. I really hope the Chrysler Corp and all of the jobs go under. I'm going to bed...that's about all I have to say about that.

That's bad news for the Dodge 4500/5500 because their frames are bulit by Sterling . http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/medium-duty.html
Then consider GM is already trying to sell their medium duty line . They don't want another one .

Now that sound like a real good idea. Maybe we should start that rumor on the Cummins site and some bigwig might see it and think, hey we should look into this.

Cummins buying a truck line is not so far fetched as history has shown. For those of you who remember the Diamond Reo line of heavy duty trucks back in 1975 they went bankrupt and Cummins made an effort to purchase the brand and keep it going, but due to antitrust concerns this deal never went though. Too bad as Diamond Reo was a tough great looking truck.
