Gearing???

What is the standard gearing on the 5500 4x4? When you look at the specs online it says 410 and option 488. The 4500 is 410 and 444,488 option. I am wanting 444 and it looks like to me that should or would be standard gear. It dont make since that the the 444 isnt offered.

I suppose it could be a misprint, unless the 4500 and 5500 have different pumpkins, and there's no 444 available for it.

Does anybody know what the gear ratios are for the automatic? I'd like to run a speed/mph comparison with the different ratios to see what the best would be.

Yikes a manual with the 4.88's would probably get you to 65mph at red line.

I just ordered a 4500 4X4 with 4.10's. The rear end options are this:

4500 (manual G56) Std = 4.10, Opt = 4.44 or 4.88
4500 (automatic) Std = 4.44, Opt = 4.88

5500 (manual G56) Std = 4.44, Opt = 4.88
5500 (automatic) Std = 4.88 No optional rearend.
