4500/5500 4x4??

Are they offering the 4500/5500 trucks with 4x4??? If so, what axle are they putting in the front of these trucks??? I have only seen 2x trucks around here, and wondered if they offered them in 4X.... if so what axles are they running??? I know the rears are dana style, but I wonder what they are putting up front... Since the 9.25's are pretty much at thier limits in the 2500/3500 trucks (unit bearing and ball joint wise)....

Yes, they both can be ordered as a 4X4. I'm not sure what company is making the front axle, but it is a 7,000lb capacity axle. The rear axles are a Dana S100 or S110 (something like that).

I have a 4500 ST 4X4 Reg cab 167" G56 on order which I will be puting on an Air-Flow 11' dump body with siccisor hoist.

The rear axle is actually a S111, they found out that the S110, the same one used in the fords and internationals, was having some cracking problems on the housing under the rear springs. So, they had this axle made just for them. I got this directly from one of the engineers. It is a little stronger and beefier than the others.
