you have got to be kidding
Today I phoned the Chrysler dealer to order some bulbs for my heater control panel and after waiting for 10 minutes the partsman comes on the phone and says that is not a serviceable part, you have to buy the whole control panel to the tune of $369. I was speechless (almost),then I asked about bulbs for the seat heat switches and sliding rear window switch and was given the same answer, just replace the switches. At this point I said maybe it's time to buy a Ford and hung up. Have we become that lazy that we are willing to just cough up $369 for a burnt out panel bulb instead of being able to fix it?( Rant over)
Has anyone repaired these panel lights or at least found cheaper replacement parts.

I find it kind of crummy that in 2006 the yr of my truck that they did not use LED lighting in most of those modules, why solder them in...***
Here is a list of the burnt out non user replaceable bulbs on my truck too, I also need to tear stuff apart to replace bulbs.
drivers door handle master window/door lock sw assembly, both heated seat switches, 4 x4 sw assembly, headlight sw assembly. Maybe they were hoping we would by a new truck when the lights went out.

Buy the new set of three linked several times above. Pull the bulb from the socket. Unsolder the old ones from the board and solder the new ones in.
Is there a different replacement method you have in mind how this should go?

Thanks for the reply and I think the last link showing the climate control replacement may work for the 1 burnt out in my control but the bulbs in the seat heat and rear window slide switches are smaller than the ones for the climate control if I remember correctly and are in a holder that is soldered to the board in the switch.
I may take them apart again and take them to a local tv tech and see if he can come up with the right bulbs. I wonder if they have to be a specific wattage because everything is linked to the TIPM and may cause a problem that way?
