The wonderful seats we have....

And another question.....

On several of our trucks we have noticed a problem with the seat starting to get some "play" in it. It has just enough movement back and forth to get annoying. Has anybody experienced this issue.

And not only that but my seat is starting to seriously break down. Drivers side on the left when sitting, noticed it seems the padding has comepletely broken down. Then the back of the drivers seat, near my right shoulder, looks like somebody hit it with a sledge hammer. Any suggestions......

Has anybody installed an after market seat in a 3rd gen.

Regarding the "play" in the seat, I assume we are talking about the driver's seat. If so, and it's the power adjustable seat, the play is from the seat bracket itself. The play should be mostly noticeable when the seat is raised to it's uppermost position. I had this issue, and the dealer replaced the bracket under warranty.

Ahh, that's what it is. I've felt it in mine.

Great, even our seats have a clunk

Mine does that too upon takeoff. Not real bad though.

Regarding the seat foam, I just recovered mine with leather and was very surprised that the seat foam was not worn down at all. I guess it helps to be a slim guy...

Im with you. My 03 had a part of the plastic come through the seat back but was changed out under warranty. They were comfy though.

My 06 was and 08 is just fine and plenty comfy. And I do a good bit of traveling in them too.

You want rough, lets take a ride in my '90 with its lovely bench seat.
