Wiper motor?
Recently I've been having trouble with the wipers on my truck. When I first turn them on, they are very slow to move, and sometimes they stop completely for a couple seconds and then start moving slowly again. Eventually they come up to speed, but I'm noticing it's taking longer every day. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the wiper motor itself? Thoughts?

I went and talked to the dealer about this issue, and he suggested running a new, seperate ground wire to the wiper motor. No further issues since then.

if your grid heater is operating the same time as the wiper motor or your alternator hasnt caught up yet, there isnt enough voltage to drive the motor. This is what happens to my truck, when i first start the truck and my voltage is ~12v my wipers will only flicker, jerk a little bit. if i wait until my voltage is at the ~14v mark, the wipers work perfectly.

Sevir, thanks for the reply! It was interesting that you mentioned the grid heater. I have noticed that the problem always happens when the grid heater is cycling, especially on mornings when it's 10 degrees F or lower. I'll keep an eye on it! Thanks for the tip!
