Windshield Wiper Replacements?

I have an '03, HO, 6-sp., 3:73 rearend.
My truck has to sit outside all year long in the AZ desert environment.

I just noticed that the original wiper blades are coming apart, now.

What would be the best, most durable & functional blades available & where can you buy them?

Thanks for your help.

I would like to find some that wipe good when it is cold. It was -20c(-4f) and mine would not wipe good until I kept the defrost on for 20 minutes.

I just got into the habit to replace mine every 6 to 9 months seems like. Like you my truck is exposed to the elements 24/7. The last couple sets I purchased was Michilen wipers that I got at Walmart. Seems to me I've got a little better life out of those.

Mopar Wiper Blades

TonyT,

I was quite surprised that the stock blades lasted almost 3 years. some of the lesser expensive, aftermarket blades last me about a year, at best. The Mopar blades must be of a higher quality.

My stock ones chattered for 2 years before I got some Bosch replacements. They worked great for about a year and they just started chattering last week. I'll be getting some new ones this weekend......

I get the cheap ones at Walmart for $5 a pair and change them about once a year when they stop wiping clean. My theory is that these are the most popular ones and likely the freshest.

I have had PIAA wipers for 18 months... I have only changed the refills once and they always work great and very quiet. I also use rain-X fairly regularly and it also is a great help.
The wipers aren cheap but anything I ever bought that was worth a $(*^ wasn't cheap and when you use really good stuff you start to figure out why the other stuff is so cheap at wally world etc.......
My aggregate cost is about even at least and much less hassle and time spend on changing them and cussing them when they don't work.....JMHO

PIAA are my choice too. costly but they do the job and last a long time. don't know about the 3rd gen but the 2nd gen had a wind turbulance problem or something--could not keep the wipers on the glass at speeds over 45 mph
