Window Latch

Today at luck while closing the rear sliding window the latch broke off and fell to the floor.
After reading through some other threads, I thing what I have to do is get a new center glass with a new latch on it. I'm wandering if this is what I need to do to get it fixed or is there something else?

As always thanks for the help.
John

I have never even opened the slider. How about some kind of dowel in the channel to keep it from sliding instead of replacing the window?

Well I talked to a glass company in Angelo and he told me I had to replace the whole rear window( the WHOLE thing) he also said you can't just replace the center. Then I called the dealer and they were willing to sell me the center glass for a fee. So I bought the new glass and installed it about two minutes even though the glass guy said it couldn't be done.

If anyone is interested I can do a quick write up on how to replace the center glass.
