My 04 was quieter than my 06 is. I think the new style weather stripping creates more wind noise than the old style.

I have some wind noise on the drivers side...not sure if it is the window seal or the door seal.

When I am driving down the interstate at say 70MPH on a calm day then I have very little, if any, wind noise. If the wind kicks up from any angle other than from directly in front of me or behind me, then the doors will start to howling. If I pull in on the top of the door I can allieviate most of the noise but the fingers don't last long The door flexs so much you can see light between the door and door seal when it is happening.

Tech notice

Had same problem on my Quad 2004, took it to the dealer and they replaced door seals and body seals.......fix it?....nope, still has wind noise....!!!!
There is a tech. bulletin on it out, but I can't recall the number of it. And looking at the repair invoice I can't find a # for it.

I had the exact problem with the drivers side door, and it was worse when the wind blew across instead of straight on. I took mine to my dealer and they actually twieked the the upper door. If you look at your door from the front look at the top of your door and it will stick out farther than the passenger side, they actually just pushed it in towards the body more. It solved my problem and have no problems since. Hope that helped.

Had the same problem with front driverside door on windy days. But didn't do it all the time, then I notice I had the A/C on full blast. As soon as I turn down the fan speed or switch over to recirculate setting the wind noise went away.

Cool

I feel your pain everyone. I had the same problem on my 03. It was bad enough that when the slush builds up in the winter I would get misted in the face by the water. I could nearly poke my fingers through to the outside when driving down the road!

I took it to the dealer and they sent me to their body shop.(after a long arguement about if I still had a warranty... moron should have looked up my VIN first before he tried to tell me I had no warranty.... anyways different story)
The body shop is really good at this dealer (unlike the rest of it) and people try to go there even for non dodge vehicles. They had to re-adjust the how the door hinges were alligned. This made it perfectly silent, its like a new truck!

The manager at the body shop said that they do a few every month... he said its only on the quad cabs and mega cabs for all years since they went to the 3rd gen body. I asked him why they are doing this and his answer was "they're too cheap to do anything good anymore". Scary I tell you.

I think that I am being objective when I say this, but the wind noise in our '06 decreased after I installed "Vent Visors" on all four doors.

Anyway, either I am just getting used to the wind noise or it is really gone.
