Winch Mount... Powerwagon maybe??

Hey guys.

I am looking for a way to mount my new Warn Winch on the truck (05 1 ton), but I want to do it in the "cleanest" way I can. So in other words, I don't want a big huge bumper.

How do Powerwagons mount their winch, and, can I use the same mount behind my stock bumper? How big a winch?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks guys.

Unfortunetly that mount can not be used on our trucks due to our intercooler. The Warn Trans4mer is pretty nifty, that's the one I am looking at getting. But that will only work for you if you are looking for a brush guard as well.

If you bought a front mount hitch, you could get the winches that mount in the reciever, and that way you can use it front or rear if needed.

Igor, go with the Warn Transformer kit - I installed mine by myself over a weekend. Yeah, you do need to drill the frame, but it's in the area that's not supporting much other than the bumper. Warn also gives you the anti-crush spacers and pretty good directions - just read and follow. The nice thing is that all the bolts and holes really do line up - not something that I can say happens when you mix vendors. By the way, the brush guards might be optional (check with the Warn catalog) - I have them, and they're not at all flimsy.

Thanks guys.

I don't like aftermarket bumpers, but that armour stealth one looks pretty good. I wish they had more pics of it without the bush guard stuff added on.

Thanks again.
