Winch only mount

Anybody make just a winch mount? I have the Mile Marker electric 12,000 from my old suburban and would like to put it on the front, but not replace the bumper do to costs right now. Any pics would be great. (My wife has gotten the truck stuck 3 times chasing the hot air balloon in the desert and I think the winch needs to go on)
Thanks
Erik

I know warn makes one, (trans4mer) but it looks a little flimsy to me. I was looking a few weeks back, but I never found anything good. There are plenty of bumper/winch combos, but it's hard to find a decent winch mount without a huge bumper. Let us know if you find one.

I have the Warn transformer mount with a 9500# winch. Had to drill holes in the frame to mount it. Works real good pulling out furds and chebys. You can see it in my gallery. ( I think) Stainless mount was $650. Don't remember about black.

I want to put a 12k winch on a multi mount system because a 9k winch will not move my 7k rig while stick in 5k of mud!

Lighten the weight by using synthetic rope instead of wire cable and maybe titanium mount?

i saw a reciever type on here somewhere and the only thin noticable was the reciever "square". i like this idea cause you could use it on the front or back.

I had the Warn Trans4mer on my F450 . . great product, but will set you back $1300!

I have the bodiak front hitch ($200) with the Warn portable winch mount $200 (or less). I can use my winch in the front or off the back. I also fabed up the Randy Ellis light bar on the Bodiak. Sorry about the pics being so big.

There ya go! I like the set up but the winch leaves much to be desired. No offense.

I want a 12k winch set up similarly with synthetic rope instead of wire and a lighter yet stronger mount.

Build it and they will come!

I had this winch on my F450 4X4 and that truck weighed 12K . . . . empty. I have had it stuck in the mud a couple times . . . not over the wheels, but the winch pulled it out. If you tie off to a ****** block and hook back on your frame, it doubles the pulling power. 18K is pretty good . . but yes . . . 24K is even better . . . . I guess.

Unfortunately I'm well known to be in places that I never should have been able to get to in any sized 4x4

I'll take the 12k winch and 2 ****** blocks please

i have a front hitch. the only draw back may be that it obviously sits lower than any other winch mount. but i can take it off in five minutes if i do not want to drive around with it on all the time. or i can easily move in from the front hitch to the back hitch.

Check out the Bodiak at www.bodiak.net It will raise your winch about 12".

Mile Marker makes one just for the 12,000. I have it on front of my truck with a 12,000 Hydraulic. Check out winches plus http://www.winchesplus.com/ , and inline diesel for Mile Marker 12,000 install http://inlinediesel.com/tech/mm/index.html . Winches Plus is very knowledgeable and vey helpful if you phone them.

Thanks, I like the Bodiak front reciever. Then I can pull the winch off when travelling the USA and not 4X4ing.
