Whock whock sound under floor

Truck started making a loud bang sound that eminates from under the drivers floor when passing over big bumps in the road. Doesn't do it all the time, usually the truck is very quiet over the same bumps. It really sounds and feels like something big is loose under the truck but I can't find any problems.

Anyone have a similr experience or knowledge?

Bob

WOW, seems kinda soon to wear them out (11,000 miles), but I'll have a look.

not saying they are worn out, just the closest thing to you.
could be the upper shock mounts loose, spring perches loose, could be nothing, could be the shocks finally wore out.....

I'd jack it up and grab the wheel at the top and bottom and see if you can rock it back and forth (ball joints).

Might also lay an eyeball on the motor mounts, and suspension parts generally.

With 11k on it, I presume it's under warranty, so you could always let the dealer mess with it.

Laslty, if it were more of a Nuck Nuck sound, then I'd think your Mo bearing was going bad.

the lower shock mount loosened up on my 01... made a similar sound, it was so hard to find cause i couldn't duplicate it on jack stands or over the pit. i went around the drivers side front end with a set of wrenches and eventually found that... worth a shot.

Idiota.

There is no such thing as a whock whock bearing. Perhaps your time would be better spent in another forum.

Do you have steps? If so, and if they attach to the cab mounts, check that. I had mine make a similiar noise so i swapped the center mount bushing with the front one and problem fixed. Just an idea.
