just like the post, do you like em and would you by them again. i just do not like the bfg a/t and this is the best i can find in a 285 70 17.

tcb, Yep, I got them. I had 235 80 17 m/s last winter. Great in snow and ice and mud but I didn't get them off in time and the warm temps hauling heavy trashed them. I have the 235 80 17 discoverer s/t on the inside rears and 265 70 17's on the outsides. They are wearing great and are quiet for the tread pattern. I'm up to the rims in mud every day now and with a trailer on I don't use 4wd unless its 4 low to get moving. ks

 

I run them on mine. 285/75-16.
So far I have 32,000 miles on then and still have 1/2 tread left. ST tires.

 

Had some on my old truck... Loved 'em! Would buy them again in a heartbeat!

I just got a set of 4 315 discoverers for my truck used with at least 80% tread left paid 400 for the tires and a 2.5 inch leveling kit. had some of these on a previous truck 3/4 ton chevy and they were good tires they were also 285's, they are a stout tire and run quiet.

 

I've got the Cooper Discoverer ST 285/75/16. Only had them on for about 1,000 miles and I like them. I'll be testing them out the weekend of 12/10 with a trip to the snowy, muddy hills to cut a Christmas tree. Got some tire chains too just in case.

I put a set of Cooper ATR on about 3,000 miles ago and like them. I have been on some snow covered roads in upstate New York and they were fine.

 

what is wrong with the bf goodrich ta/ko's? they are probably the best all terrain tire out there! i have been running them for 15 years without any problems. road noise is minimal and they wear great!! plus i only paid 660.00 for mine about a year ago!!

 

Just personal preferences.

 

slimpickn is right just personal preference and the coopers are about 200 less here in alabama than the bfg at. i have the rugged trails on now and would replace them but i want to go alittle larger and the bfg just does not pop my cork.

I just took the wranglers off the 05 for the winter and put on 235-80-17 Cooper Discover M&S's and their studed on all four corners. These things being tall and skinny give max traction on ice and snow. I'll be putting them on the 98 tomorrow. I have ran them every year since 1998. Awesome in the snow and on ice.
