Where's the power???
My 04.5 dually won't turn the tires on dry pavement even a little, no matter how much you powerbrake it. The 04.5 2500 I used to have would bust them loose very easily. Both trucks are 4wd, quad cab, auto's, with 3.73's. I guess the dual rear wheels just add that much traction.
My '03 ripped 'em loose one time leaving McDonalds on a gradual right turn. Got some smoke off the tires according to my buddy behind me in his Ram. Other than that one time, it had it's on and off days as far as power available. Hook a trailer to it and Dodge must really be pampering the 47RE my S/O Cummins had behind it. Headwinds had me burrying the peddle trying to maintain speed. I don't think my S/O Cummins was putting anywhere near it's advertised 250hp/460ftlbs out to the tranny. My '05 Hemi makes easy work of towing the 5th wheel. Dodge should be pinned in the corner about claiming hp/torque ratings that aren't realized in stock form.

Do you tow anything with your truck or is it just a novelty?

If we want to put Dodge on the firing line for misrepresenting actual hp/torque, we might as well include just about every othe manufacturer as well, a couple of years ago Ford was in the position of either having to buy back (under federal ruling) or modify every Mustang Cobra they sold that model year, in the course of a class action lawsuit against Ford it was determined that they didn't make anywhere near the advertised horsepower. Mazda had a similar issue with the Miata, I think they wound up sending out checks to a group of misled owners on that deal. That's just the tip of the iceberg, what about the mighty 590 lb/ft Duramax that really only makes full power in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, not first or fifth gears where you really need it. I guess they did that to protect that bulletproof Allison tranny behind it!
I'm all for it. At least with the 12v engines they couldn't play with torque management and choose when and if it delivered as advertised. The auto's had less and DC was up front about it. If GM is doing the same, bring 'em down...
So duallies cant peel out even with powerbraking them? Although one time at a car wash, Just came back from the orchard about a 115mile drive. All dried mud and messy, they wanted 55 bucks just to wash it b/c it cannot fit through this system, and then a bunch of extra charges b/c its dirty. Anyway I left, they had a big poudle of water, and I was making a left turn, my rear tires went over it, I turned left, got on the street, floored it and fishtailed the 7700lb behemoth. Really scared the other drives around.
You'll likely get a chuckle then over our 6.0 P of SD owning construction foreman telling me I could pick up a tube of ointment at Walgreens' pharmacy to help get rid of that Hemi I was sittin' on.
