Wheel hop on 06 w/anti-lock

Anybody having wheel hop, taking off in soft sand. Is it my anti-lock causing this probem, any solution. Dont find anyone discussing this issue, maybe its not a probem with standard axle?? I've had it on other vehicles in the same conditions but not this severe, normally feathering the throttle allows you to gather speed, not on mine. This is my first Dodge, Fords have the friction axle and its acts much different. I'll swap this axle to a conventional if I knew that would solve the probem. Not much aftermarket axles for this american axle is available.

Mine does it too. I think part of the problem is the air pressure these tires run at normally (60-70 psi) I haven't tried it yet but airing down to 20 or 30 when you are in sand should help.

Yea, I followed the post some time back. The problem, many had the older Ram w/Danas instead of A/A. Unless your running traction bars, most vehicles will get hop on pavement etc, my other trucks would also. No way were this sensitive. I've got a phone number from one of the aftermarket axle owners of an engeenier at A/A (apparently very helpful with problems) but havent made contact yet.
If its just a traction bar, I will get one, but don't want to start throwing money to resolve the issue. I couldnt find a prior post which supported that problem on our series truck.

C4 MAX--Thanks for the come-back, I assume you have the anti-lock. Hoping to have some one w/o a anti-lock to see if they have the same issue. All the 2500 trucks at my dealer has them, only ones w/o are the 1500 and thats not apples to apples, anyway I spoke w/1500, Hemi, and they don't notice wheel-hop near as bad as mine.

My dually has wheel hop on any loose surface, if I take off with any foot in it at all. The tracks look kind of telling on light sanded hard dirt - the wheels hop regularly until I either ease off, or the truck finds something solid. It became far more apparent after the mods, than before. I am still having way too much fun with the truck to worry about recognizing that as a problem yet.

Nope, $285 option.

MYLASH- then, you dont have the wheel hop I get, its impossible to accelarate to get out of it, the back-end will leave the ground or leave part of the drive train behind!!! If I could power through it, I wouldnt be posting this. I had a like truck (dealers, with service manager onboard), at about 3 to 5 mph, bouncing the rear tires off the ground!!!! Their truck so I didnt stop untill they began yelling!!!!!
