What's the Factory Bed Worth

Thinking about getting a Flat Bed for my SWB truck. What is the standard factory bed & tailgate worth. BTW, it's been sprayed w/ line-x.

Good ?? I have a dually bed that I just took off also. The left back corner has some damage and a small place on the right fender. I was just waiting around to see if anyone wanted anything off of it. Nothing is real bad on my bed and I dont know what to ask for it.

The bed delete option was about $300...
I think about 1000-1200. You can check Trading Times or some other auto sales magazine or price them at a truck equipment shop or maybe a body shop?

My buddy has brand new, black, dually bed off an '06. The best offer he has got on it is $400 and the tailgate alone is worth that. It is in perfect condition and ready to mount. Good luck.

Excatly. A new fender is over a grand and no one will pay a grand for the WHOLE DANG THING! Amazing ain't it?

I have had a bunch of take off beds. Before they started building Cab&chassis again , we had been taking beds off and putting flatbeds on. There was a flood of take of 3rd gen dually beds because of this. I was taking the tailgate and the bumper and selling them for $300 a piece. Then I sold a bucnh of the beds for $300 a piece and was glad to get it. One of em I even took off the dually fenders and sold the rest for scrap metal by the pound. A single rear wheel bed will bring $1,000-$1,500 with the tailgate though, not near as many of them around.

Thanks Luke. I guess that I need to sell my bed before I start putting a flat bed together, that way I'll KNOW what it's worth. Maybe breakeven if I build teh bed myself (less grief from the significant other).

well after my 5vr got rear ended ( and written off) it also crushed my box down good 5" on both sides ( kinda how a furd looks like after someone drops the 5vr with out landing gear) so ins replaced the whole box, a used 05 from a truck outfitter was 3k. dealer body shop showed me quotes all the way up to 4200.00

Person here that I work with has an EZ Lift flat bed with hay bale lift (no hydralics) that would be interested in working a swap for regular bed.

Shoot me a message if you are in the Texas panandle vicinity and interested and I will put you in touch.
