What yo look for?
Looking at trading in my 08 tundra for a 06 mega cab stl 4x4 auto has 117000 on the ticker the body is a little beat up not a big deal to me. It has a leveling kit with newer 35's on it. I would be getting it from a dealership so there will be some sort of extended warranty I can add. The motor and everything else look to be stock. What should I look for anything to be on the watch out for? Have owned a 7.3l power stroke before so this won't be my first diesel. Don't plan on doing a whole lot of mods except for exhaust and cai maybe an mpg tune down the road sorry for the long winded post! Thanks in advance.

Take the oil cap off and set it on the manifold, if it bounces off you have issues. You tube has a video on this.
Cycle the the climate controls and if all are working then the blend doors are fine. Once again you tube shows some good info on these.
Front end sag would mean new ball joints, measure these out. and check to make sure the steering is solid. 35 BFG's can cause issues with Death Wobble. If you search my posts I think there is a good thread on what to look for when buying a used diesel.

Yeah I have wanted a mega cab since they first came out I love how big the interior is on them I'm 6'10 so I can use all the room I can get. Gonna hopefully go drive it again tomorrow and take it by the Cummins mechanic in town and see what he has to say about it.

117k is where my truck is at.
If it's the OE hydro boost pump, I'd prep for $600 for a new updated one or get used to replacing re man pumps regularly. My OE pump went out about 70k. Replaced 3 remans before spending the $ on the new dealer part.
Rear driveshaft u joints went out of mine at 110 k.
Injectors at 115k with stock filtration changed regularly. Another $2300 and a days work.
As mentioned, check the front end out and use that as a negotiating tool too.
