What should I expect...

Hey guys, I am thinking about selling my truck to get something that is a little more toned down for daily driving and road tripping. It is an '05 laramie, that is loaded with just about every toy available. HTB2, Modded CP3, Injectors, head work, o-ringed, studded, fass, suncoast fully built trans, all the gauges and electronics you could want, propane, N20, water/meth... the list goes on and on. It has 70k miles on it and only about 5k on the new engine and trans. What do you guys think I should ask for it?

One thing ive learned over the years is you never get what you have in something...

Sometimes you can get a little money for your mods, but for the most part, blue book on a stock truck, and add a few grand for mods.

Then again, throw all that out the window, its all what someone is willing to pay As long as you start out with more than you want, you can always go down, cant go back up

Well, I understand a vehicle is the worst investment ever if you are trying to get money back out of it. I am at the point with this truck where it is no longer going to go so much off of blue book value. It is more of a specialized vehicle at this point and that is why I am asking....

Honestly, id start around $40k, just because of all the work done to it.
Closer to the south/Texas area, id say $35-37k. Up north(and northeast) and california seem to have higher prices on comparible trucks.

Maybe if you know of any car collectors/dealers in your area they might be able to give you somewhere to start too. That or keep an eye out at auctions, see what similar trucks go for(not that there are really any THAT similar to your truck, which is a plus)

IMO, you are going to have to find the RIGHT buyer, parents with deep pockets willing to buy for their kid.

I went on KBB and selected everything possible and the best private party was 31 and change. which, is not a good platform for a truck of this caliber.

the comes down to the eye of the beholder, I agree with stacked start around 40k,, good luck

I guess I will get it listed at 45k-50k or so and see what happens with it. Atleast that gives me room to work. I would really like to see about 42k for it, that would give me what I need back out of it. Do you guys think something like the DuPont Registry would be a decent place to list it or more of a waste of money?

Unfortunately, I don't think you will get much over what KBB or NADA list a stock truck for. Your mods are down the drain. Nice truck though.

you could part out to mods and sell it as stock imo it is a better way to get your money back

Well, I guess I will sleep on it for a few more nights. . . I have seen a few full customs go for 80k-125k, I don't think I can pull that kind of money out of mine, as those had full custom paint, but I was thinking I should be able to pull 45k plus...
