What was I thinking when I bought my HEMI!!!

Their I finally said it. 2548 on my new CTD and this things hauls like. Broke it in right, hauled my boat to Canada, dinked around with hauling a little mulch in my dump trailer... But today, all in one day: I loaded 4 tons of wet fill dirt in my dump tailer, and I almost forgot it was back there! Smooth as hell!!!! What was I ever thinking when I bought my '03 Hemi 2500. Oop's - I said it again! She was a good truck but this thing is just addicting! When I went back to get more dirt I asked for 5 tons!!! 10,000#'s of dirt + 4,000# trailer and she didn't scream once, actually I would swear she was laughing. Then we decided to go fishing this afternoon, hooked up the boat hit the highway and after a mile or so I noticed the boat swaying more than usual, the trailer had a flat, dead flat. Pulled over, changed it, laughed about how we couldn't even tell b/c this truck is a bad. We were on our way, caught zero fish, but it was a good day b/c I got to haul with my CTD. Just had to brag fellas, this thing is great. Thanks to all who posted berfore I bought her, thank you for this forum, and thank you DC for delivering this product that so many on here brag about.

Just wait until she's really broken in. Give another 15-20K. Then she'll really run.

It is amazing isn't it... I swear my truck gets quiter / smoother and has a smile everytime I pull into the storage lot to pick up one of my trailers...

I don't tell my friends this, but I would rather tow 100% of the time instead of running empty with this truck, and it think it feels the same way.

I have a handfull of my buddies at my one of my jeep clubs just sit there and tell me how thier 6.0, 8.0 and 454 chevy gassers are just as good as my CTD (and the diesel option is a waste of money) and I get tired of trying to defend the truck. So I just sit back and can't wait until we have to convoy some where since I am going to volunteer to lead and set the cruise so it holds the same spped going up or down hills (let them hammer away to try and pull the same thing off with thiers) and then just keep going when they start "squeeling" for a gas stop... Heck I might just put a 5 gallon gas can in my truck when they run out just walk back there and help them out with a smile (pouring salt in a big wound) ....

I can't wait to actually PULL something with mine. Most I've hauled was 800lbs of tools in the bed. Only difference was the back didn't jump as high on big bumps

Now if only I could find a resonably priced trailer to haul my Jeep....

I finally got to haul with mine. Pulled a car (66 Lemans) and three fully dressed pontiac motors (6000lbs w/trailer) about 200 miles in winding mountains. The truck didn't even notice the load. It was GREAT!!!!!!!!

I agree these CTD engine likes to work...mine is happiest when pulling a fully loaded trailer, the best part is holding and or gaining speed on the big hills while all the other are hunting for gears and flooring their screamin gassers lol.

Had 250 oak pallets on my 30ft GN each wieghing 45 pounds a piece thats 11,250 just in pallets not including the the trailor. First time I ever seen it come out of overdrive on a hill ( of course I was doing 72 mph) Sure beats the hell out of my ol' 6.0 powerjoke A.K.A lemon law. Man I'm glad I switched to a Cummins.
