vzdude knows what he is talking about. the new exhaust brake on the 6.7s, doesnt provide the breaking hp that my jacobs exhaust brake does IMO.

5.9=jacobs exhaust brake
6.7=exhaust brake, but not manufactured by jacobs vehicles systems

Out of sheer curiousity, shep1, would you pm me your vin. I am wondering if it was a dealer installed option. I can't find any parts in the normal parts catalog, but they do list it in the accesory catalog. I have to admit, I have been referring to the 6.7L exclusively until now. You might be right, but I want to see what the option code is. I installed several of the exhaust brakes at the time of delivery on new vehicles, but I haven't been at the dealer for a few years now.

 

Ahhh ha... I had to look when I test drove the 6.7 to see what that was too!!!

 

in the sales brochure for 07 they listed an exhaust brake as an accessory for the 07 5.9 but dont recall it saying it was jake brand. But im sure it was for the 5.9 as they had the info on the 6.7 ebrake in a seperate column and had pics.
