What could be causing this.

I have only had the truck in my sig now for 2 weeks. Sometimes when driving slow and turning, I get the feeling of the hubs being locked in 4x4. Does not do it all the time. Any thoughts.

Barry

I would take it in. I think you have to remove the unitized bearing assembly.

Yeah, at $400.00 for each of them. Dodge will just beat them off and replace with new. If you can find a good repair shop that knows how to get them off without destroying them you'll save yourself $800.00. Make sure you get greasables U-joints for the replacements - Dodge won't put greasables back in, just the same crap they put in at the factory.

Gotta go greaseable parts, thats for sure. Mine was doing that for a bit and it turned out to be my ball joints, uppers and lowers. Had Moog parts in it for over a year and they are awesome.

I does not do it all the time but I did notice it last night while turning up to about 15 miles an hour or slower, the steering wheel rocks back and forth during the turn. Did not happen at all this morning on the way to work.

Thats what the left front axle u joint on my truck felt like when it was going out. It would seize up. Cost me 900 bucks to replace both sides.

I agree with DodgeZilla, although it could also be your ball joints. Doesn't hurt to check them both out.
