warn hub for stock axle shaft

Does anyone know if warn or anyone makes a manual hub for the 07 ram stock axle shaft. Think I sourced aall the other parts except for this and I don't need to upgrade..... have yet to break one in 500k worth of driving!

king,

Are you talking about just adding a hub to the stock design or adding a free spin kit? You can't add hubs to the stock design.

If you get the free spin kit you can use Warn or Dynatrac or other hubs. The stub axles come in two diameters and you have to get new ones when you install hubs. The stock size is what I have and fine for non racing use. It's also the one that fits the standard hubs.

Well yes shoulda clarified haha. I'm trying to part my own free spin kit together and was wondering if anyone made the lock kit to fit on the factory stub end. Dynatrack looks good. But expensive. But you reuse your rotors. The spyntech which solid axle and ems sell are better. But they don't say what happens with the rotor. Dluxfab has the best price of 1400 and is all off the shelf parts which is why I though id do it myself haha. But seems they have to use rotors from an older ford. So many options!

I know you can get just the stub axles from Dynatrac, if that helps. I ruined one and had to get a replacement. I think it cost about $179. Warn hubs are much cheaper than the Dynatrac hubs and might be better to use if making your own setup.

Dynatrac also uses the stock Dana 60 bearings and seals too, so you can get that stuff anywhere.

The factory stub shafts are far too short to allow room for standard D60 bearings AND locking hubs.

Dluxfab's kit looks ghetto to me, it pushes the wheels out 3/4" on each side. For the extra $200 I'd go with the EMS kit. Ballistic Fabrication also came out with a conversion that is available a la carte, their web site is http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...it_p_1714.html They are showing a 15% off coupon for orders placed through today, making the entire kit $1568 plus shipping.

ems and solid axle both sell spntech conversions. Ballistics looks ok, but are just as spendy as everyone else once you buy everything you really need. Im really lookin at dluxfabs kid, everything you need for 1400 out the door. hard to beat that

If you're willing to deal with an incorrect track width that ends up putting more stress on the already marginal balljoints then I guess Dluxfab is for you. Personally I wouldn't put it on if it were free.

Dyna is the only kit that doesn't change it, from what I've studied. And the whole .75 inch dlux does extend the track its still much shorter than a dually. And the money saved could be invested in a servicable balljoint setup...... any thoughts?

I don't think this is an issue. It's the same thing that happens when H2 wheels are installed and that has not lead to a rash of failed ball joints. Besides, the joints need to get changed anyway.
