Anybody know around what VIN numbers the early 600s start at? I'm going to look at a truck at another dealer with a VIN of G194990. I know the VIN on my ordered truck (2/18 build) is G208717. I'm pretty sure that the Ram VINs include all Rams 1500s even.

I'll look at the valve cover tomorrow, but I didn't know if anyone here knew.

Oh, now I get it. That is YOUR VIN, and you have a 600, so the VIN I'm looking at is a 600.

 

186010 also on January 9, 2004.

208398.....born on date: 2/23/04

 

Mine had a 1/5/04 build date, I think the first day of the 600 engine and my vin is 178659. I have 4000 miles on the truck now and no problems at all with the engine, last fill up I got 17.5 mpg. I also live in SE FL so I would not have the cold weather problem.
