Upper Ball Joints

XRF has greasable upper for $79.92 and Rock Auto has Spicer Pro Grade for $56.79. Anyone had any experience with either one. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

mad1 - call them at 877-674-4030
dezeldog - I do not know for sure but they asked if I had a 4wd. This could mean that they have both or it could mean that they were asking because they only have them for 4wd.

Jim,

No direct experience with either one of those. But the one that is greaseable should be better in the long-term by being able to be regreased.

Acording to Rock Auto the Spicer Pro Grade is also a greasable ball joint. Some months back I read a thread that someone thought that XRF was developing an upper ball joint and that they thought that it would be a superior product. I have not been able to find that thread again so I was hoping that someone here might have some input about them or the Spicer ball joints.

I think you got them mixed up with Carli. They came out with "super" upper ball joints that are supposed to be the end all be all ball joints, but they are like $500 for a set.

Yes I know about Carli ball joints but they are to expensive for my taste. If I did a lot of off road I might go for them but I don't. I finaly found the thred about XRF by searching "XRF ball joiints" it is the long one titled Goooooood ball joints. It apparantly took them a long time to get them to market but they have them now.

Jim I was on a pre-order list with XRF and sent several e-mails to them. A couple were answered by John F???? The parts were never available to me nor did the call or e-mail me when they were available so I would be careful with them. I can tell you that in my opinion their customer service sucks!!!

mad1 Well they have them in stock now and I had already ordered them prior to comming back to the forum so I quess I will have to wait and see about their customer service.

Hvytrkmech thanks for the info but as I stated I had already ordered them before I got back to the forum so I will see what they are like.
