anyone have the under hood light. Purchased one off of dodgeparts.com they do not have the install instructions. Does it clip on or have a small screw to connect it to the hood?

 

I got one from the dealer and the housing had a small sheet metal screw into a pre-drilled opening in the hood.

The power just plugs into a connector already on the firewall (passenger side). The power cable is at least 3 feet too long.

 

Did the lamp and harness run yall close to $45?

Paid about twice that.... but got 20 times the light.

I don't remember what I paid for the light and wiring harness from dodgeparts.com but I don't think it was $40. Thought it was a lot less, I will look it up tonight.

I have a 1 page picture of the install. Shows the wiring harness the hood holes, routing for wiring and screw. I think it was with the wiring harness. If I get time I will scan and post it. I will also post the picture of mine installed.
