Thumbs up

I have it in my Acura TL and like it so I got it in my MegaCab. It is not as convenient as the Acura in that the Acura has the controls on the front of the steering wheel, the Mega has the answer button on the mirror. However, the duplexing with Uconnect is actually better than the Acura. Duplexing is the ability for me to talk while you are talking. In the Acura, I would have to wait until you finish before I can speak, it is better in the Mega, but the technology is not perfected yet. I would say that this is about as good as you will find. Nothing out of Japan is any better than this, but not perfect. If you are on the phone and in the truck like I am (5,000 to 6,000 minutes per month) it is well worth it, not to mention alot safer.

Yes, that is my one complaint too. I like to let the truck idle, but if I am around the truck within 30 feet, I can't use my phone because the truck takes it over!!

Is it hard to setup your phone to the uconnect? My girlfriend just bought a new jeep and it has it in it. I havent taken the time to read the manual yet to set it up for her

Super easy, just hit the UConnect button in the truck and follow the options.

I don't have the U-Connect system, but like D. Wiggs I added the Bluetooth to my Pioneer and could not live without it now!

Not to hijack, but does the Alpine also have phone numbers stored for most of the destinations in the database?

Yes, they first did that about 6 years ago when no one else had it and I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever !

I have it and really like it.

However....I have been having trouble getting it to work lately.

The issue is trying to figure out if it's my phone, the bluetooth, or the UConnect.

Verizon is telling me to call Bluetooth.

Bluetooth will probably tell me to call Dodge...and so on and so on.

The bluetooth icon on my phone has a white background with a blue "B" instead of a blue background and a white "B".

Any thoughts on what it could be?

P.S. I've reprogrammed the system half a dozen times and it hasn't helped.
