Two things

Was rotating my tires today and found two problems. I just had new from u-joints put in about 3-4 months ago and now the right one is clicking and there is play in it when I took the wheel off. When they were doing the u-joints I told them I wanted greaseable ones and of course they didn't. So I had the manager write and sign that they would replace them with greaseable ones when the time came. Could they already be bad this quick?

Also, it appears that I've got a leak under the fuel filter housing. There is a nut under there with a bolt. Is this a common problem? What is the best way to fix it?

If you wanted greasables and they weren't.... Then yes I'd say they could be bad.

Obviously the repair shop doesn't care enough to even give you the right parts, why would you assume they installed them carefully?

U-joints need TLC when installing... There's lots of little bearings in them that fall out, need grease, must be clean, and the caps have to come off to install the joints which really creates the chance that a bearing or two will be lost, dirt will get inside, or the cap won't have enough grease.

Any play in a u-joint means it's going fast... I'd find a new shop.

I have found that most all u-joints do not come "out of the box" with enough grease... this is even more critical when the assembly isnt greasable... When replacing u-joints, pull the caps and add the correct grease....
Sometimes you will find that the crosshead IS drilled for grease, although it has no grease zerk passage... I typically drill one of the caps and install a grease zerk.
