Check wires for kinks...
I finally had time to get mine apart and have a go,, The column adjustment worked for a while, till someone moved the column on me.
I found the switch looked good, but felt sloppy. I did notice some of the wires in the loom had some kinks, and one was almost broke completely.
I had the same problem with the wires in the doors that control the power windows and locks, and had to fix most of them.
So while your in there, have a good poke around with a light and check the wires for kinds and or cracks..
Good luck...

Not exactly sure if those symptoms are a result of a bad multi function switch ( turn signal ).
Last year I purchased a new switch from a parts supplier in PA. I don't remember exactly the price but it seamed cheap, Under $100 I think, compared to the canadian prices I had been checking..
There are instructions on here somewhere how to replace it without taking the steering wheel off,, Try this link:

Sorry,, don't remember exactly, but it was so easy if you can find the part cheap enough its worth just doing it to see if it solves your issues...
good luck

It's the FCM that drive those lights.

The silver box (Front Control Module) was mounted on the (Power Distribution Center).
So IPM = FCM + PDC

Ok so I got the Multi Function switch took the column apart plug it in before i took the old one out and still the same crap. I then Unplugged and inspected all the other connections at the IPM FCM PDC as suggested No water no issues still the same crap again.
Im now a Popsicle do to the cold temps out. Im out of ideas so Im asking for more help ideas on what the issue could be here with this pile. Im at wits end I NEED MY TRUCK

Turn signal switch
This thread is why I love diesel truck resource and have been coming here for info and help since 2006!!! My 2005 did the same thing as the OP. I took the covers off and sure enough the wires were pulled pretty tight. Pulled a little slack in he wires going to the switch and put a ty rap to hold it. Working great now! k4jjm - if you see this THANKS!
