My dealer called today and stated that my truck will be shipped on 1-22-2003. I order 12-6-2002.<br><br>My friend's truck who ordered on 12-16-2002 is being shipped on 1-21-2003.<br><br>You figure.

 

ordered mine on 12/3. my tenative ship date is also 1/22... mine is being built in mexico.

 

Does anyone know how much time is usually involved in shipping?<br><br>What is the average time once shipped to arrive at the dealer?

 

Mine took three weeks to reach the dealer from the time it was shipped from Laredo,TX. It was already in Laredo when I checked the status, so I am not exactly sure how long it took to get from Saltillio,Mexico to Laredo,TX. I would guess appx. three days. It took one week to reach the dealer 120 miles away after it was unloaded off the train at the auto yard.

You can go to page 5 on this forum (3rd Generation) and look at the topic titled &quot;How Do You Check On Truck Status?&quot;. It will be very helpful with the tracking of your truck. I included a very helpful link in one of my posts in that topic. It was really cool that I knew my truck was at the dealership before my salesperson did. I just checked their new inventory every day after my truck was unloaded at the auto yard and it showed in the inventory before her starting time. ;D

 

Mine was built on 11/5/02 and shipped on the 9th but I did not recieve it until 12/16/02 and even then I had to complain to get the dealer to put it on a hot list!<br><br>The Boss Hog

 

If you track the rail car along it's journey, you will see it moves rather fast until it reaches the final destination by rail. Mine reached the final destination (Toledo,OH.) on Dec. 24. The train just sat until Dec. 30 and then the truck was unloaded at the auto yard also in Toledo and then it took one week to reach the dealer. If it had had not taken so long to reach the dealer, I would have been eligible for the $500 Holiday bonus. Oh well! :
