I must say i have hauled with stock truck and obviousy lifted trucks and i actualy feal safer in my lifted one it allows me to see ocer cars and suvs allowing me to see thing way in advace. and as far as 35 inch tires the new ford come with them stock. Im not sayin a stocker isnt about as safe as you can get but towing lifted isnt unsafe iether. And if you want to do 70 or 80 mph towing 20k than your uinsafe anyway. I towed this load doing the speed limit for 4 hours and had no problems. So i gues having your cake and eating to just depends on what kind of cake you buy

Never been a clearance issue with the 30' shown in pic. The neck is adjustable so you can level the trailer which is nice.

I purchased a new PJ 40' to replace it. No pics of that one yet.

Once you tow with a gooseneck you'll NEVER go back to a bumper pull!!!

I'm interested in more info on this one!!!!! PM me if you can.

Unless you change out the truck bed you'll need to extend the kingpin down or convert to gooseneck. How much does a aluminum 40' weigh empty???

While technically not "lifted" my truck is leveled with Firestone airbags to keep it level when towing. I think the truck tows great even though I run 70-75 mph for several hours at a time. The trailer is 7900 lbs empty. Probably well over 10K when loaded. Of coarse when running 22.5 inch wheels you get some tires that are made to support some weight. FYI. they are right at about 37 inches tall. I have stock rear end with the 4 speed auto. It'll downshift occasionally when windy or going up hills but still tows without hesitation.

That's a bit of a stretch me thinks, lotsa people tow many miles running 35's.

I like that pic since it reassures me that I can pull a GN with 1 inch lift in the rear and 35's on my truck.

I had full intentions of a big lift when I bought my truck. Then I got my goosneck trailer. After some near close calls on my bedsides pulling in and out of uneven drives, I have realised that a lift is definetly not in my future.
I'm still doin the 22.5's though. I can adjust the trailer a little.
