Tool Box Oxidation
My last toolbox did this and I swore off aluminum ,but now I have another one. Maybe a bed coating inside would help, at least I am going to give it a try.
Dang I thought this was going to be about the outside oxidation, for the inside I don't worry about it but would suggest a regular toolbox liner. The outside on the other hand is another story. My brother did this to my old box when he put it on his truck this spring, the box is 5 years old and been outside every day of those 5 years.
Left side is clean, right side is oxidized

All done

I went to J.C. Whitney and here is a liner they sell which says it will work on Aluminum.

I used the rubber mesh type matt thats meant for a regular mechanics tool box. I paid like 6 bucks for a roll of it at lowes. It just happened to be the right width so I just cut it to length. It just lays in the bottom but it don't slide or bunch up so thats all that matters.
