Tires

I need some new tires soon. (265-70-17) I want some that will last at least 60k. Any suggestions? May be interested in some take off tires. PM me. I live near Palacios and could travel some. I did check the classifieds but none are close to my area.

If you properly rotate an d balance the tires they should last atleast 50k miles. I have 29k on mine and still have 10/32nds tread left on them. I rotate and balance every 3 months or 7.5k
I went to SEARS and bouhgt there balance rotation plan for $60, they will do it for the life of the tire. Oh, yeah I also do a 5 tire rotation. After I get SEARS to balance and rotate I go home and rotate the spare onto the rear, that way when I do go to buy tires I will have to get 5 but at least if I change brands they will all match.

Thanks for the reply Supergewl. I got 60k on the Michelins that came on the truck. (still in pretty good shape) I rotate about every 10k. I will need tires soon. Just looking for some deals. Take offs would be nice if I could find some close.

Check out The Tire Rack, www.tirerack.com they ship anywhere and have pretty good prices. I've had good luck with Firestone and Bridgestone tires (I believe they're part of the same company), they always last around 50k for me; that's with rotating every 6k.

Man, 50K on the Michelins, I've got 22K and they are more than 1/2 gone. I rotate and balance every 5K.

kelly15, where at on the Gulf Coast are you? I got the 4 stock tires that came on my truck sitting in my garage (Micheline 265/70/17) I took them off with 100 miles on them, and replaced them with BFG 315/70/17 AT. I'd like to get rid of them

I am between Corpus and Houston. I think some one will probably see your post and contact you. I am just a little to far from you 8-10 hours I think.

I got maby 25000 out of the stock mich. But that was probly in part to having fun with this truck to. I have the MT's now and rotate balance every 3000 miles just to be sure. I play a little with these but they are holding up pretty well. Goin' to 35's next.
