I currently have a kore lift and haven't put my plow on yet, but am unsure if the front will sag with them and was considering getting timbrens up front. I searched and just found threads of everyone using them in the rear. So will these help out up front with the plow and does anyone have a picture of them installed? thanks

 

No pic of them installed, but got 'em and love 'em. I wouldn't have it any other way.

 

I ran timbrens in my old Powerstroke plow truck. Only a F-250 with a 8 foot plow, so needed all the help for the 850 lbs hanging out there. They worked very well to help limit the sag.

 

thats good to hear, i just put my mount,pump frame and pump and my truck looks like it is starting to sag alittle already most likely because the kore springs i have on a progressive rate coil spring. Should i just worry about getting timbrens or are the air bags more worth it?

Obviously, the timbrens are not adjustable. And i do not know how they are set up in the Dodge, but for ther Ford that I had them on, the front end would be compressed before you really made contact with the timbrens. (Kinda like overload springs in the rear). For your application, with the money invested in suspension, I would not want it to spend the winter squatted at all. Only way for that may be airbags.... Though they do squat as well.....

 

i think on the website it shows them mounted on the lower control arm and touching the upper(or the opposite way i just explained). I saw carli makes a nice bag setup but for 500 bucks i cant afford it, is there any other cheaper bags? Can firestone's be mounted up front?

Even for installation of the Timbrens on the Dodge, the front suspension has to be unloaded and front end raised. As soon as the front end is dropped back down, the rubbers are already touching the axle - progressive load bearing is already starting to occur.

I love them. I did the same to the rear on my truck by adding spacers after about a year with them having the space according to the instructions. After removing the space, frost heaves are less harsh and I like the ride even better.

Hopefully they include the base plate that mounts that spring in the OE bump stop location. Without the base, those are pretty much useless.

was thinking about it and i think i might buy a set for 10 bucks lol and see if i can get it to work. From what it looks like on the timbren website it mounts into the stock bumpstops. I don't really know what is involved in the kit but what if i took out the stock bumpstop, drilled a hole thru the center and bore it out alittle more towards the top to put a washer for the bolt. Then screw it in the timbren put it back in place and push it back in. Think this would work lol?

 

Go to timbren.com and look up the part number for Dodge. A00180 is not it. All dodge PN's start with a D.

Well i got my plow on and the front barely sags an inch it just the initial move and that's it so i am not so worried about getting them but i will def be getting these in the near future or something to help with the stress on the springs so i don't wear out my kore supsension too fast.
