Things to look out for before delivery?
Things to look out for before delivery?
Throughout this site, there is a tremendous amount of material that one should look out for on new vehicles--the 70MPH problem is but one. I think that a thread the contains a syopsis of these items would be a godsend to those that are receiving their trucks in the near future. I will definitely look for the infamous plugs underneath, the counterweight on the power steering hose and be cognizant of any and all vibration at speed, but what other gotchas are out there? I pick mine up on Weds. and would love to have a list to refer to as I don't know about you, but I will be like a deer in the headlights when I get to the dealership!
EVERYTHING! Really....
I have seen......vin # on door not match the vin # on dash, body work, over spray, tape, leaking ps fluid, low on power,
check all fluid levels, open the hood and check fender seams for evidence of repair, make sure the center caps are on securely, etc, etc, if something looks odd, compare to the other trucks on the lot. - JKE

I just started participating here a few weeks ago and am not familiar with the body plugs and power steering hose counterweight that you guys are referring to. Would anyone be kind enough to elaborate?
