Is there a diffrence?
Alrighty. From looking around the site it seems hte diffrence in 2500 and 3500 in second Gen is just the extra set of tires. The rest of the truck is the same in each. Which makes sence. Now, in the 3rd gen whats the diffrence? Since there is a SRW 3500? Or is my info i found wrong on the 2nd gens?

Third gens have beefed up leaf springs in the back. The payload is 1 ton, vs the 3/4 ton on the 2500. Yes, you can get a SRW 3500. Other people may chime in with additional information.

No....
2nd gens......3/4 Ton for the 2500 and one ton for the 3500. The 3500 were/are only available with dual rear wheel. I believe the duallys all had the Dana 80 differential.
