Try Maxwell Dodge in Taylor. I've had good service and they offered me a heck of a deal several months ago that was very tempting - below invoice.

Henson Dodge in Madisonville is worth a check - they stock and sell a lot of Cummins-powered Rams.

Bonham Chrysler is supposed to have the best prices in the state. I haven't compared to every dealership in the state, but they beat the other dealers in the DFW area hands down.

Their sister store, Greenville Chrysler, pretty much has the same good deals.

Do your homework on the net! Figure out what you want and what it costs the dealer. Find out what hold back is. Find out if there are any factory to dealer incentives. Look for specific trucks you want on dealer websites. E-mail the internet managers and make them an offer. I got mine at Bruner Motors in Stephenville. Sticker was 37,900 and I got it for 28,400! I think I still could of done better if I had played the game longer! 03 quadcab 4x4 SLT with the HO and a 6-speed.

This is great. I am e mailing all your suggested dealers.

Any idea how much they are discounting the 05s?

quad cab, diesel, auto, possibly the Larame package, we like the dual climate controls.

Keep the suggestions coming please.

I am leaning towards a short bed although I will pull a 5th wheel in time.

With the slider it seems ok and makes driving every day easier.

Any stories or comments about the short bed for a 5th weel are appreciated?

Thanks
Carl

What Hoss said, Bonham had the best price around, and while I was thinking about it a week later they came back with $2000 more of plus the stock about 300 CTD

I just bought a 05 2500 4x4 laramie auto w/nav for 37,830 plus tax from landers dodge in MS. Sticker was 46,130 and I told the guy that the ebay dealers were knocking off between 8k and 9k and they jumped all over my 8300 off offer. I probably could have gotten a little more off but I'm ok with it. good luck
